When a shy guy accidentally kills his best buddy, he travels back to that morning – with the girl he has a crush on – to stop it happening over again…
Steve is an insecure dweeb who’s had a crush on Bec since high school. So he’s pretty annoyed when his cocky housemate Rob makes out with her at their Y2K party. Steve and Rob argue about it, and OK, sure, Steve shoves Rob just a bit, and Rob accidentally falls off a bridge in front of an oncoming train. Oops. But thanks to their fridge unexpectedly being a time machine, Steve and Bec travel back to that morning. Now they can stop Rob from falling off the bridge. Or can they? And who’s this odd, short-statured time tourist who disguised his time machine as their fridge?
OVER AGAIN is a genre-bending time-travel comedy about believing in yourself. Inspired by how we repeat the same mistakes in life and relationships, it takes place in London on the first days of the year 2000.
Fresh and funny, it’s a contained, nostalgic coming-of-age comedy for young adults (16-30) and Gen X and Y romantics (30-50) who still remember the 90s. It has the sweet, charming tone and dynamic turns of an early Edgar Wright movie. With flawed characters who excel at getting themselves into deeper shit, it’s a fun, lo-fi crowd-pleaser full of banter and nods to pop culture.
